February 28, 1995 Guy Devaux, A Founder of Mumm Napa Valley, Dies Master winemaker Guy Devaux, who helped found Mumm Napa Valley, died of cancer Jan. 11 in Fairport, N.Y. He was 68. Devaux spent most of his professional life in the sparkling wine business.
