February 28, 1995 Grapevine Count California vintner Brooks Firestone of Firestone Vineyard as one of the Republicans who rode the GOP tidal wave into power last November. He won a California State Assembly seat, and in late December hosted a party at his winery, in the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County, for many of the state's newly elected Republicans.
