Never mind that his Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were stuck at a not-quite-fully-ripe 21 degrees Brix in the middle of October and that a cooler weather pattern had settled in over the fog-shrouded hills that form the backdrop to his Napa Valley vineyard.
