Nearly 2,00 years after Pompeeii's destruction, Archaeologist Michael Thomas, co-director of the Center for the Study of Ancient Italy at the University of Texas, Austin, has begun excavating at Oplontis, located near Pompeii insearch of wine history. Wine Spectator's Ben O'Donnell explains.
