The Emeril Lagasse Foundation's ninth annual Carnivale du Vin boasted an intimate venue, inspiring video footage of beneficiaries and a bevy of celebrity chefs. But it was the winemakers on hand who truly drove the auction's competitive energy, said foundation executive director Kristin Shannon. Their efforts paid off. Wine Spectator's Esther Mobley reports.
