Kosta Browne Buys Its First Vineyard

Pinot Noir specialist Kosta Browne purchased its first vineyard, a 20-acre block of the Keefer Ranch Vineyard in Sonoma's Russian River Valley, from the Keefer family in July. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Kosta Browne has made a Keefer Ranch-designated Pinot Noir each year since the 2005 vintage. Wine Spectator's Augustus Weed explains.
