
Vintners in New York's emergent Finger Lakes region have found a formula for success, based largely on Riesling, and they're gaining experience quickly. The latest evidence is the 2011 vintage, when they proved their expertise as heavy rains late in the season made for a tricky harvest. Wine Spectator's James Molesworth explains.
