
June Rodil is the wine director for Congress in Austin, Texas, where she balances two separate cellars-one for the fine New American cuisine of Congress, the other for the neighboring casual venues of Second Kitchen and Congress Bar. Born in Manila, Rodil moved with her parents to Dallas at the age of 5. She credits her lifelong love of restaurants to her parents, who worked long hours in medicine but enjoyed going out to eat during time off. Wine Spectator's Jennifer Fiedler explains.
