From Guatemala to Texas
As Wine Spectator's Mark Pendergast drank a rich, balanced cup of San José Ocaña on a recent morning, he savored the sweetly balanced brew, with its hint of lemon, and he then let the notes of chocolate and caramel from these high-grown Guatemalan beans linger on his tongue. As he considered how these complexities met in his mouth, he also pondered the convergence of lives and stories that led to that moment.
