New Players Eye California Expansion
It's far from a fire sale, but a number of wineries in California have changed hands in the past year. Others are quietly taking on new partners. The surge of deals follows two years of slow business activity-plenty of wineries were struggling but no one was looking to buy. Now that growth is resuming, players with deep pockets are looking to expand. Wine Spectator's Augustus Weed reports.
