How can one assert that buying wine now is tricky? The answer is that, ironically, the modern flood of wine has made it more difficult to choose what to buy. Because so much of today's tsunami of wine is inevitably "median" in quality, it's that much harder for a wine buyer to actually land on something distinctive. Wine Spectator's Matt Kramer explains.
