Every Dog Has His Day at Napa Auction

While attendees at the Canine Heroes Wine Auction enjoyed a reception of hors d'oeuvres and wine tastings by producers such as Kathryn Hall and Freeman, puppies and guide dogs paraded through the courtyards of Napa's Meritage Resort & Spa. The Oct. 1 event raised more than $470,000 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind, making it the second-highest grossing take in the auction's nine-year history.
