
For some years now, the holy grail among knife enthusiasts has been the Kramer knife, a handmade tool of great beauty and technical power. The problem was that knifesmith Bob Kramer could only make a couple hundred a year, so there was a long waiting list and the knives generally cost a few thousand dollars (and re-sold for several times that on eBay). That has changed. Wine Spectator's Owen Dugan xplains.
