For Hockey Hall of Famer Ron Francis, growing up in an Italian family meant that there was always a place for wine at the dinner table, and he guesses that he had his first taste when he was about 9 years old. "I'm pretty sure it was seven-eighths parts ginger ale and just a splash of red wine," he jokes, "but that's how I got familiar with it." Wine Spectator's Lizzie Munro expains.
