
It may be impossible to crown a "best vintage ever" in Bordeaux, but it is easy to name the "priciest Bordeaux futures campaign ever." This is it. As leading châteaus announced their 2010 futures prices this summer, most maintained or raised them compared with their 2009 releases, with some as much as 100 percent higher at retail in the United States. Last year's prices were unprecedented at the time, and this year, the dollar is weaker against the euro. Wine Spectator's James Molesworth and Ben O'Donnell report.
