
A simple drive up and down the valley reveals some of Napa's many architectural highlights. These include 19th-century Victorian mansions and historic stone wineries like Charles Krug, Far Niente and Chateau Montelena. There are also post-Prohibition revival buildings to pick out, like the iconic Robert Mondavi Winery, designed to be reminiscent of historic California missions. Even big-name architects such as Frank Gehry have made their mark.
