
As ever more Americans drink wine regularly with meals, corkage laws are a jigsaw puzzle of arcane, contradictory and often confusing rules that vary by state and even by town. So far this year, lawmakers in Maryland and Virginia, states with longstanding corkage bans are debating ending them in licensed establishments. Wine Spectator's Ben O'Donnell and Rob Taylor report.
