
Wine Spectator senior editor James Moleworth spent two weeks in Bordeaux this past December, his first visit since assuming responsibility for tasting the region's wines. He kept hearing one word at nearly every place he stopped: precision. Precision is what the Bordelais now seek in their vineyards and in their wines and they want to reassert their dominance by making better wines than anywhere else. To do so, they think precision is the key.
