
Spanish chef Ferran Adrià is 48 years old; if he's fortunate, he's only halfway through his life. It may be premature to publish a book that claims to tell his "inside story." But Colman Andrews offers Ferran: The Inside Story of El Bulli and the Man Who Reinvented Food (Gotham Books, 356 pages, $28) as a vivid portrait of the personality and achievements (so far) of the man who has been called "the best chef in the world."
