
David Myers made his name with Sona, a much-lauded Los Angeles restaurant serving inventive food. He has since opened brasserie Comme Ça in L.A. (another will open this year in Las Vegas), and Pizzeria Ortica. Apple pie may seem quintessentially American, but the French have their own version called tarte tatin, and it goes exceedingly well with another French classic, Sauternes. And this apple pie recipe suggested the 2007 Château Rieussec Sauternes.
