Tinseltown Charity Auction Bests Total From 2009
In its 21st year, Culinary Evening With the California Winemasters landed nearly $1.7 million for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Held at the Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank, Calif., in May, and counting many Hollywood executives among its 1,400 attendees, the 2010 auction racked up $777,370 in live bids. The take bests last year's total, when the event ranked 10th among Wine Spectator's Top 10 charity auctions.
