
Tasting barrel samples of Oregon Pinot Noir is always an adventure. The variety is extremely sensitive to vintage conditions, and in Oregon's Willamette Valley, every year is different. There was the blasting heat of 2006, the rainy fragility of 2007, and the beauty of an ideal 2008, in my opinion Oregon's best vintage yet.
