
The eyes of billions of soccer fans will be on South Africa this summer when it hosts the 2010 World Cup-that's the easy part. But the country is having a harder time drawing attention to its wines, especially among American consumers. Following several years of rapid growth, 2009 saw a decline in exports of South African wine to the United States. But the silver lining is that quality remains on the upswing.
