Even though the hillside vineyards of Montalcino produced some of the region's ripest, most powerful Sangioveses ever in 1999, the vintage went unnoticed by many wine lovers. As such, a decade later you can still find some on retail shelves and restaurant wine lists at reasonable prices-and they are more than worth the search.
