A Food Fight Over Wine

There’s a debate playing out in the wine press over how ripe is too ripe. The critics’ favorite targets are almost exclusively red wines from California and, to a lesser extent, Australia. It’s a fair critique, even if the banter is more of a dorm kids’ pillow fight than real fisticuffs.
