California Syrah Cools Off at Auction

Until the overall drop in auction prices late last year, California Syrah was on a roll at auction, with a few top bottlings rivaling the performance of key California cult Cabernets. Since then, however, the demand for these Syrahs and the prices paid for them have noticeably declined.
