Jim Harrison is an American author who has worked as a screenwriter and has published poetry, fiction (including the novella Legends of the Fall, upon which the 1994 film of the same name was based), and nonfiction on a range of subjects, including wine and food. Many of his stories are set in the wild and concern humanity and man’s moral center. Wine Spectator features editor Owen Dugan caught up with Harrison on the telephone from the writer’s Montana home.
