One of the peculiarities of wine discussion on the Internet—whether it’s in the form of chat rooms, blogs or video—is that it’s simultaneously deflating and inflating. Underlying all of this, however, is the real issue. “And what is that?” you ask, with arched eyebrow. I’m glad you did. The real issue is not who gets to be a wine critic. The answer to that is what it’s always been: everybody.
