The ranks of this year's promising Chardonnay producers are filled with veteran vintners, expert winemakers and experienced vineyard owners. Their collective résumé is impressive. Some of the labels listed below, such as Heintz and Three Sticks, started producing their own wine after years of selling the sought-after grapes they grew.
