Siena is the capital city of an Italian province that contains three of Tuscany's most important and historic red-wine appellations: Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino. When visitors are ready to take a break from sightseeing and high culture, there are plenty of restaurants that are willing to refresh them with hearty food and excellent local wines.
