THE SYRAH EXPRESS Some of the hottest new wines coming out of California are made from Rhône grape varieties. Syrah, in particular, has found a second home on the West Coast, where the style is full-bodied and meaty, with in-your-face dark fruit flavors and a generous dash of spices.
