
When Pope Benedict XVI visited the United States in April, two prominent New York restaurateurs, both of whom are Catholic, were chosen to prepare his meals. Lidia Bastianich (above, behind Pope Benedict) of Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence-winning restaurant Felidia, along with her team of chefs, was asked to prepare two of the pontiff's dinners.
