Wildfire Smoke Descends on California Vineyards
After lightning ignited hundreds of wildfires across California in June, firefighters began a prolonged battle to contain the blazes. The destructive flames had not touched most of the state's top wine regions at press time, but Monterey and Mendocino counties had been hit.
