Nuts are a classic flavoring of chocolate around the world. They bring a little earthy flavor to the usually fruitier and sweeter chocolate, as well as a textural counterpoint. Hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts and other types of nuts pop up in bars and candies everywhere, from the corner store to the gourmet shop.
