Mondavi: Visionary and Mentor
I knew the great man was nearing the end of his amazing and inspiring life. Still, when the phone rang on May 16 with word that Robert Mondavi had died, I experienced feelings of loss and sadness. He had a powerful influence on many of us, perhaps more than any other figure in the wine world.
