Atlanta Auction's 16th Brings In More Than $1.5 Million

The High Museum Wine Auction celebrated its sweet 16 in style on March 29, with $1,513,480 in live bids—nearly equal to its take last year. Woodie Wisebram, the event's auction manager, says she had been concerned about whether the Atlanta auction could repeat its success in 2007, when it placed fifth on Wine Spectator ?'s Top 10 Charity Auction list.
