California Zinfandel Strikes a Balance

Zinfandel continues to vary stylistically from year to year, and from winemaker to winemaker. While the 2004 and 2005 California Zinfandels stood in overall contrast—the former big and ripe, the latter firm and complex—the 2006s show elements of both.
