Lucky Sevens for Vintage Port
1977 is at its peak, and a soft market means bargains
The number seven is believed to be lucky by many people—gamblers, in particular, but also some wine collectors. Those with Vintage Port in their cellars certainly must have an affinity for the number, because many of the category's best vintages end in seven, including 1997, 1977, 1947, 1927 and 1917.
