Mario Batali, whose energetic style of cooking has made him a familiar face on the Food Network, has built a veritable restaurant empire in Manhattan. He and business partner Joseph Bastianich own and operate the flagship Babbo, the elegant Del Posto, Roman trattoria Lupa, crudo specialist Esca, pizzeria Otto and the publike Spotted Pig.
