The sale of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in August jolted Napans from their summer vinous musings. The $185 million price seems astronomical for what many perceived as a small, artisanal winery. And for those who know better—and are a bit sentimental—the sale evoked sadder and more reflective thoughts.
