Seattle native Mario Batali began his culinary career in London and northern Italy. He eventually settled in New York City, and today runs seven restaurants there with his business partner, Joseph Bastianich, including the flagship Babbo and the elegant Del Posto, both Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence winners.
