
A former ballerina, Michelle Bernstein was ultimately persuaded by her love of food to study nutrition in college; it led to an interest in cooking, encouraged by her Argentine mother. She went on to become an influential chef at the acclaimed Azul in the Mandarin Oriental Miami and followed that by opening her own Michy's, in south Florida, and MB in Cancún, Mexico.
