Auction Index Rockets to New High
Prices jump 13 percent in six months
The upward spiral of prices for collectible wines showed no signs of relenting in the second half of 2006 as the Wine Spectator Auction Index posted its largest gain ever. Rising a record 31.54 points, the index hit an all-time high of 278.
