
California's red-hot streak with Pinot Noir is more than alive and thriving. It has shifted into overdrive, with more great wines, labels and vineyards than ever. The 2004 vintage yielded a wealth of phenomenal wines, but what's most memorable to me after tasting hundreds of wines this year, is that it produced 11 wines that hit 95 points or higher.
