Nick Nobilo is the son of a Croatian immigrant to New Zealand who eventually founded Nobilo Wine Group, one of the country's largest wine companies. Nick retired from Nobilo in 2000, and until then he'd never had the time or resources to focus on Gewürztraminer, one of his favorite varieties.
