Big Bottles Fetch Big Prices

Large-format bottles are selling at auction for very large sums

At Acker Merrall & Condit's April auction, a methuselah of DRC Romanée-Conti 1990 fetched $100,725, and a double-magnum of Château Latour-à-Pomerol 1961 brought $41,475 (92 percent above the Wine Spectator second-half 2005 Auction Index).
