Following the solid but mixed 2003 vintage, 2004 is the new kid on the market and it is tremendous, an exceptional year for this superstar wine. As Golden State winemakers continue to fine-tune, with superior clones, deeper experience in the cellar and, especially, better vineyard sites, it's all good news for California Chardonnay lovers.
