
The excitement over Bordeaux's 2005 vintage began building last summer, as the grapes were ripening under ideal conditions. Vintners grew even more enthusiastic once fermentation began. By winter, when the wine had been racked into barrels, there was a general belief that 2005 was destined for greatness.
