Moderate Drinking May Protect Against Stroke, Regardless of Race or Gender, Research Finds

Those who unwind from the bustle of Manhattan life with a couple glasses of wine in the evening may be protecting themselves against having a stroke, a Columbia University study found. This held true for men and women, as well as for whites, blacks and Hispanics.
