Praise for the 2003 Vintage Ports began just a few weeks after producers finished crushing the grapes. After tasting the wines, I can say that they deserve the hype. These young Ports—many of them now on the market—are some of the best in years, showing fabulous aromas, ripe fruit and rich, powerful tannins.
